Ok here is the deal. I'm canadian so i have to deal with the exchange rate. I have 2 kids youg kids. 1 still in diapers. I have a 351w and hope down the road to get a 408 stroker. but realisticlly thats a couple years away i'm sure. so for right now i will be just putting these heads on the 351w i have now. Which should i get? Do i save a little money now and have a head (the vic jr) that is more suited to my current engine or do i go with a over kill head (the AFR 205's) now because in the future i hope to run a stroker. Now keep in mind i'm not made of money and i will have to buy new rockers a new cam and a vic jr intake. geez thats sounds expensive. Help me out guys.

The AFR 205's are just superior in about every aspect,except price.

You could go with the Vitor Jr.s now and have them ported for the stroker later,but in the longer run it would cost more.

Thous look like a good bang for the buck head in comparision with the AFR 205's...

maybe but did you notice that they are 1286 bucks each? i agree a great head but man thats a little pricey.

Oh, I didnt realize that I though that was for a pair,lol.

AFR then....looks like the best at this point.

AFR spend money only 1 time if you get Victor JR's you need to get them ported!

all depends on what your goal are i guess

IMHO you wouldnt need to port the victor jr's...but thats me..they do what i want them to do..the AFR's are real nice heads..but again..IMO they are over rated...if your looking to just buy some heads and have them perform well at the track and you go to the track alot etc..then you probubly want the AFR's..but if you just want heads that peform well and your not really into the whole track and geting the fastest E.T. possible, then save some money and go with the victor jr's...

yes the 225's would be nice but i will be running them on my regular old 351w for the time being. the stroker is probably 2 or 3 years away. i wish it was sooner but i'm being realistic here. i have been told that the afr 205 will be a over kill for my regular 351w but aslong as i don't go down in hp or lose all my bottom end torque i'm ok with that. i would like to take my 360 hp combo over the 400 hp mark.

Vicky jr. When or if you out grow them, sell'em and get the AFRs.
Also if your strapped for cash there are many Vic jr. clones out there. My Tri-pro's were $850 shipped per pair and according to the flow sheet will give me 305 cfm's at .600 Lift [plenty]...PB

Thats a BS flow sheet then,cause the Victor Jr. dont flow that.

Yea,I dont buy that with a 2.02 valve.

Its the same company....

Now if it was done by an independant company I would be swade to believe they might be true.But your just not gonna get that kinda flow from that heads,and yes I have seen pairs and compared.

The exhaust numbers are close though...

That part is a typo. 2.05 intake valve.

no numbers on my setup..but it move quite well to say the least...id go with the victors now and when you do the stroker have them ported...

for your guys info i know a guy that has the 225's on a 347..overkill

205 or 225 would be my choice with the large cube motor in the future...

You can run a 225 on a 347 but you need to have the set-up there to support it or it will be a dog.

yea i agree Rick...the guy dose not have the set up there though IMO...i beleave he is using a holly intake and a mild cam...he is also running kooks 1 7/8 steped to 1 3/4 headers with full 3 inch exhaust, i was under the impression to run heads like the 225's on a 347 you would have to have a pretty wild cam and really rev that thing?
