They seem to last a lot longer from a turbo for some reason. I have seen some last for years over 600. You never know. I didn't even notice it has 3.73s in it. Some 3.27s or 3.55s and 28" tires and you'll be in bidness.

Wow man you've got guts pushing a stock block that high!! You're pushing around ~725hp/702ft-lb at the crank...that's a solid 200hp more than i would trust one with!

Be sure to post up pics when it unzips down the middle...lol

red, you if you can walk me through how to post it I will, better with a wrench than a laptop! lol

I actually do have plans for a dart block next year...I am currently deployed so hopefully I can scrap together enough cash for that.

blackened88, I have the 2: 73 on the shelf at home that I was going to swap back in and see what they do...I do have 26 m/t et drags that I was using....however 5spd and the turbo and 3:73 made 1st and 2nd gear about useless. Still ran a 11.13 @ 135 like that. I am hoping 2:73 with the drag radials will net me about 150mph and drop some et off, I am thinking it should pull a mid to low 10.....possible to even crack a high nine.

BTW this is the base setting on the turbo, only 11 psi boost, with the boost controller I can go up to about 24 psi once the block is replaced!

that thing is making serious power for a stock block... and up to 24 psi on a dart block with tf 205s = permanent smile, you should invest in a built powerglide at that stage ofthe build, nothing spools up a turbo like an auto

yeah, I know 1991notch, first pass on the track with the 5spd and turbo and as much as it hurts me to say, auto is the way to go now. I was actually looking at (no booing from the audience please lol) a built TH400 transmission, just to keep it decent on the street. I have no idea yet what TQ converter stall to run yet though.

i'm pretty sure most guys on here know how badass TH400's are, a member on here named bentley429 is running one in his turbo LX hatch, he might be able to help you figure out what converter to run too... if not there's a ridiculous wealth of knowledge and helpful guys at turbomustangs dot com, i'm sure you know about them already but just throwing it out there for ya

yeah, I check out the turbo forums there too. but I have always come back to the stangnet!
Those turbo guys really know what they are talking about. They have a huge amount of information and I am just getting into the whole turbo thing.
