On the Vortech FMU does one of the lines run directly to the fuel rail and the other down low going back to the tank thus eliminating the metal section that runs between the fuel rail and the lower rubber hose or do they both run down near the bottom of the block, the instructions dont really specify

The inlet hose (located on side of FMU, 90 degree fitting) goes to the stock rail (return side) that has the fuel pressure regulator attached, then the outlet hose (from the bottom of the FMU) connects to the STOCK return line right at the frame rail.

I was pretty sure but wanted someone's advice before I went that route. Raining here now so that put the kill on my supercharger installl for now! Sucks not having a garage!!!!!!

Good deal, I had a powerdyne, thought I would get a kenne bell, said to heck with spending the extra money, figured i'd try a vortech since I heard so many great things about em. With this being a weekend car and such, how long do these normally last until they need a rebuild??

Ran into a snag rick, I had to keep the metal line, I just ran the FMU lines down low by the frame rail, also what timing will I need to go with and what gap on the plugs?

.42 is a good gap and set the timing to 10* base. then have the car dyno tuned and they can adjust total timing when its all put together. if your not going to the dyno then you can try to add base timing after its running. if your going to have it dyno tuned, dont bother with the fmu. the tuner can adjust the fuel with pulse width

If your using the metal line did you not use the FMU?

I'd suggest 1 range colder plus, gap at .035", you can start at 10 degrees but that will top you out at 26 on the stock EEC which may be too high. Do you have a way to pull timing out?

Ive got it all lined out rick on the FMU lines, I'm going to get the car running and get a dyno tune done in a few weeks, it's about a 4 hour drive one way to my closest dyno, it should be all setup sweet after that!
