Today going down R.T 1 i got next to a newer stang a modular body. I noticed his license plate frame said vortech on it and that he also had some guages on his A-pillar. He didnt have that much of a whine at idle not like some of the vortech sc-trims i have heard but his EXHAUST was SOOOOOOOOO whicked i hate to mention this but it was louder and deeper than mine and i have the works (maybe this is because i have never been next to my stang at a light only in it) But is this because of the supercharger? do they make your exhaust that much deeper/louder i just bought a vortech sc-trim today.

When I S-Trimed my car, it became louder under throttle but not at idle. He probably had large flo's that dumped at the axel. That does it every time. Tailpipes do alot to keep cars quiet at idle.

Those newer 4.6's sound good with some exhaust...when I had my 2000 GT it had only a Prochamber (slightly quieter than offroad h) and Mac Catback...and it is as loud as my 93 with flows, off road hpipe, and shorty headers...and the 4.6 sounded so much better

i have had alot of people tell me that bloweing a car will make the exhaust much more louder/deeper which makes sense because of more violent combustion.

the most wicked sounding cars I've heard have had blowers on them, so I'd assume that would do it

and I agree abuot the 4.6's sounding sweet with a nice exhuast..good thing I'm thinkin of gettin a 4.6 this oct
