I'm lookin to see if the belt is routed right. And if possible if you have a length handy to pass on. It has a a/c compressor,smog,3g alt PA performance,p/s,vortech stock crank pulley. I do believe there is more than 1 way to route this belt. If so share your info. How I have mine routed is in the pic enclosed. Feel free to email is needed tstang90@yahoo.com Thanks

Did you ever determine the belt length? I have the same set-up (3g alt.), and I found that the stock belt was too short with the vortech kit installed.

That looks like the belt is routed the wrong way to me. It wouldn't work because you would be spinning a reverse rotation water pump the wrong way. From the crank it goes to the water pump, to alternator, to smog, to ac compressor, to power steering pump then back to the crank. I run A/S smog and AC elminator pullies on my 88, I also have a 3g alternator, I ended up getting a serpentine belt that was 1" longer than stock called for. I got that belt from autozone, they had it in stock.

Thanks, My year (93') calls out for a 90.5" belt so I got a 91" from Autozone, and it fit.

I have another question. How do you see the timing marks on the block and harmonic damper with all the supercharger bracketry installed?

You have the belt routed wrong. It'll work that way, but if you make a Z instead of an S between the water pump and crank you'll get more belt wrap around the alternator pulley.

It is a lot harder to see now, but I stand infront of the radiator and try looking down the small space between the supercharger bracket, tensioner, and upper radiator hose. Its a very small space to look through, but at the right angle you will be able to see your timing indicator and the marks on the balancer.

The instructions said use a stock belt, so I went out and got a stock one and it fit perfectly...

This is a picture straight from the Vortech manual....
