VVME HID Question

What makes the VVME kits cheap when you have to replace them after a few months? I'd rather buy a quality part to begin with and save money in the long run. I've not had personal experience, but I've done hours upon hours of research on HID kits. I've yet to hear any complaints about DDM. Their pricing isn't much higher than VVME, and a warranty that they actually honor. By the time you buy 2 VVME kits you could have bought the DDM tuning kit and be set.

Yea thats true. I will probably end up with the DDM kit. Anyone have pics of either 6000k or 8000k DDM kits? Sometimes the temp colors vary slightly between companies.

i'm looking at a box of 4 different temps i swap around whenever i want, 1 bulb was damaged in shipping, They replaced Both for free, Wonder why things went different for you guys?

Yea I'm not really sure to be honest. I don't know why they haven't honored the warranty. It sucks because they seem like a quality kit, and they look awesome when working correctly.

8k is getting on the blue side. You will lose light output, and have possible run-ins with the law.

I wouldn't use a bulb higher than 6k personally, but it's up to you.

Yea I totally agree. I think I'm just gonna order 6k single beams from DDM for the headlights and the fogs. It will be plenty bright, I don't really care about the high beams because I don't drive at night in areas where there are no street lights that often. Thanks for all the help guys I really appreciate it.

On another note, can anyone show me how to replace the fuse in the relay on a bi-xenon kit from VVME? Anyone done this? I am convinced this is the problem on my friends car.

ok, guys, i see what problem do you meet.. that is the common problem for bi-xenon hid kit..

maybe it is because the connector you inserted into the ballast was reversed,
maybe it is because one ballast or bulb is bad
maybe it is because the plugs are not attached tightly to the connectors....

after you check all problems, you can decide to choose single beam hid or bi-xenon hid .......

not all products you bought can be flawless and no brands can guarranty that any of their products have no any defects....

so you need to be patient and contact their customer servier to help sovle problems......


anyhow, i searched in google last days and found a funny post to compare VVME HID KIT with Speaker,DDM and VisonX4601 kit,,,, there is some topic about VVME single beam hid work.... you can check to decide single beam or bi-xeno hid

Why would you buy anything from that company, especially after your friend's experience with them?

Bad ballast after 2 days, and they won't warranty it?
Bad harness (after a short amount of time), and they won't warranty that either?

They should have SOME type of warranty with their products, shouldn't they?

yes, they do,, All VVME brand HID Kits' warranty is one year . it is because he doesnt want to pay for the shipping to return the bad one...( the shipping is not cheap).....

I've had mine from vvme or whatever it is for about two years, maybe 3. zero problems. it is the dual beam kit. grounds are very sensitive. make sure you take your time and install it right. also you really need to secure the ballasts somehow. if you have them bouncing around you'll get problems. I know that from having them on bikes. they dont like wheelies.

anyway in the car I've had no issues. hope that helps someone.

Just a word of advice, DON'T BUY VVME!! I don't know if I already posted this somewhere in this thread (because I know I'm the OP) but 3 of my friends bought both the dual beam kits and the fog kits and have had nothing but problems with all the sets. They have all since switch to DDM Tuning kits which is what I have now, and none of us have had any problems whatsoever. Plus the ballasts in the DDM kits are tiny compared to the monster ballasts that come in the VVME kit.

Just some advice to all interested in HID kits.

i am not sure whether you work for DDM or not... but how can you say 4 of you and ur friends bought VVME KITS with problems but bought DDM without any problems....unless 4 of u are bad lucky dogs ,,, otherwise this is so suspicious...just my personal ideas.....

yep, for the dual beam hid, the grounds are very sensitive.. you need to be cautious about the ballast and all wires pluged correctly and tightly...dont attached reversely......

Hmm a noob bashing a seasoned member.. How do we know YOU don't work for VVME?!? He was just giving other members his opinion on what happened to himself as well as his buddies and looking out for fellow members. umm, i checked that link and read it completely..... i never run ddm hid, so i dont get rights here to complain any brands....

just post my personal experience here... i love my vvme bi-xenon hid kit..and the color.....
