93-95 Cobras come with iron GT-40 heads

Also, 96 Explorer/mountaineers come with Iron GT-40's.

Then starting in 1997, Explountaineers started coming with Iron GT-40P's

Then there are the Aluminum Z303 heads and the Y303 heads..available in two combustion chamber sizes.

So that's 6 kinds of GT-40 heads.

GT40 irons came on 93-95 Cobras; 95-first 2 months of 97 production Explorer/Moutaineers.

GT40P irons came on last 10 months of 97 - 2001 Explorers and Mountaineers

GT40Y's, GT40X's and GT40Z's are all aluminum and available from FRPP. Y's flow like the P's more or less; X's a bit more aggresive; Z's most aggresive of all.

you can pick up the irons for about $300 pair , often w/ 1.7's on there already

They also came on the early 90's Lightning pickup 351 engines.

Good heads, much better than stock, imho, I have two sets.
