I looked a long time to replace my stock exhaust, I wanted something as close to stock as possible. I decided on the Dynamax 17456 kit for my LX. It came with the super turbo mufflers. I was told that this was as close to stock as I would find. I bought it from Jegs, installed it and hated it because of the miserable drone a 1700-2000 rpm, cruising speed. Jegs was no help! However Walker advised me that on the 5.0 mustangs you needed to use the Ultra Flow muffler. The company exchange them for me at no cost, and I'm happy. Much better performance with almost stock sound.

Moral.. if you want a quiet cat back use the Dymamax with the Ultra flow mufflers, there Stainless steel, easy install and work great.. Sorry for the long post......

What interests me is you say Jegs was no help? What did you want them to do about you buying a product, trying it and not liking it???

First of all their ad lists the Super turbo's as the quietest. After talking to Walker, they advised me that the Ultra flows are the quietest and gave me the part # for the Ultra flow mufflers. I attempted to get them from Jegs and was told the mufflers were discontinued, Walker said they weren't. Back and forth we went. Walker has a policy called safe and sound, meaning if you don't like them you can return them. Since I can't buy direct from Walker, I attempted to go through Jegs without success. Walker agreed with me and exchanged them directly because Jegs had no clue....I'm sure it was only the one person I was dealing with at Jegs, however it is what it is..

Walker told you the Super Turbos are louder than the Ultra Flows? That is the first time I have ever heard that!

I'm not sure how things work with Jegs having to honor exchanging mufflers if you don't like them, but it sounds like going through walker was the way to go...

Sorry you had it rough, but it would be interesting to hear if others noticed the Ultra Flows are actually quieter than the Super Turbos.

I've had both on my Mustang and would have to say the UltraFlow's are a bit louder (espescially at WOT) than the Super Turbos.

If swapping them eliminated his annoying droning, then it seems like things worked out for the OP.

Actually, the sound is almost the same and was really never the issue, it was the miserable drone at cruising speed that drove me up the wall. These don't have it. My car is stock with original cats and headers, maybe that made a difference.. All I know is that I like the Ultra Flows and I'm happy, I think Walker is a stand up company and had real concerns about customer satisfaction, try and find that these days.... Side note: I don't fault JEGS, a company is only as good as the one your dealing with. Whats strange though, is the kit with the Stainless Ultra Flows is less money than the Super Turbo kit.......
