Want to make sure these wheels / tires will fit

Hi everybody. I just bought one of Mustang Steve's 2005 GT brake kits for my 67 coupe and therefore needed to upsize the stock 14" rims. I'd finally convinced myself that 17" rims wouldn't look too big and was planning on buying some 10th anniv. cobra wheels when I found a set of wheels that just spoke to me:Stern ST-1 Beasts. Unfortunately the smallest diameter they have is 18". After some photoshopping I decided they'd look fine on the stang an now I just want to make sure they fit before the final decision is made.

Of the sizes available I'm planning on going with 18x8s w/ 38mm offset up front and one of the following out back 18x8 38mm, 18x8.5 35mm, or 18x8.5 32mm. I was wanting to run 245/40/18s up front and 265/65/18s (edit: whoops I meant 265/35R18s) in rear (per dodgestang's chart). I know I'll need to run spacers and from what I've read these *SHOULD* (knock on wood) work with at most some minor rolling/ massaging.

I would say 18x8 rims would fit even better than 17" wheels. Hardly noticeable obstacle is the upper suspension arm - a bump for shock that slightly touches the 17 x 8 rim, so I guess 18" rim may safely clear this bump. With 17 rim it has to be grinded off.

Anyway 1.25" spacers are necessary if your wheels have about the same backspacing as stock 05 mustang wheels (17 x 8). Don't get longer spacers because it would not clear rear fenders (or you would have to have narrower rear than front).

Low profile tires will be necessary with 18 rims, but as far as you get the overall diameter lesser or same as 05 stock with 235/55 tires you should be fine

I tried puting 17x9 cobra wheels on my 68, they work in back, but not in front. I now have 18x9 wheels, and they work well at all 4 corners. I'd suggest 255/35/18 tires up front, and 275+ tires in back

I have 17x8 in the back with 255/50R17 and they fit perfect there about a inch or three left there to fit 17x9 with 275/45/R17
btw I dont have any spacers eather.
