its nothing major at all but it reminded me why i love my car....I was home for spring break this past week, and was back at my old high school doing some field work for my OTT class(orientation to teaching...yes i wanna be a history teacher, and yes i know im an idiot...a teacher's salary is not the prime salary to be funding a street beast but i enjoy it). Anyways im walking in to school checking out the students cars this year and notice this new 3rd gen eclipse in the lot with huge tribal like decal down the side of the door. The kid was giving me the stare down...im sure you have all seen the look from the ricers...the "my car is fast cuz its got some stickers and a cold air intake" look well im sitting at a red light on the way home and i glance in the rear view and he is coming up to the light....doing about 30-35 or so and i look back at the light and it turns green....i ease out in first(cold = no traction whatsoever in 1st) i shift out of 1st around 3 grand.....he is at my quarter panel and as i let out on the clutch into 2nd gear i hear him drop it down....i ease into it, to about 2/3rds throttle and glance over as i just pull, and pull, and pull away.....get to the next light and i smile at him...rolled the window down and said "wasnt even full throttle"....the look on his face was priceless...he turned up the radio and closed his windows....i know its a crap kill but i barely get to drive the car anymore being at school and this was the first time ive even remotly wound it out in over a month so it was nice to feel the speed again...not only did it remind me why i love my car, but it also reminded me why i stopped racing 3rd gen Eclipses a long time ago....
