This might not be the right forum but I found this car on ebay and asked the seller a question about it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1&viewitem=&item=180052849637

Here is a copy of the what was exchanged:

Me - Hi,
Any idea why everything on the bottom of the car and the suspension is all painted black? Is it hiding any corrosion?
Has the top of the car been repainted or is it original?
Thanks

Him - the bottom of the car is very clean thats why I took pictures of it.. the top of the car is all oringal except the front and rear bumpers have been repainted. the car is very nice. but it doesnt seem like you are interested. alot of junk on ebay right now good luck thanks mike

(already a poor attitude)

Me - Well I am interested in the car but the bottom of these cars were never painted black. When it has a fresh coat of black rattlecan spray paint is makes it look like someone is trying to hide something (like rust or paint color change) especially at the price your asking. I'll keep watching and maybe make you a realistic offer.
Thanks

Him - find a different car because i dont want to business with an ******* like yourself

Me - Jeez!! All I did was ask you a question. Do you treat all your potential customers this way? Ha Ha Ha, people like you make me laugh. So defensive when your integrity is questioned. (which by the way you never did answer why you painted the bottom of the car with black spray paint.) I'll be sure to pass this email on to ebay and the internet Mustang community so everyone can see how your are. Have a good life!

End

I'm always looking for a low mileage Mustang and thought maybe they would take a resonable offer on this one, but not with this guy. Just wanted to warn anyone that might be looking at this one of the unscruplus attitude of the seller, not that anyone would pay $14K for that car.

#1
you are nothing but a trouble maker. look at my feedback i dont need your **** pass it on I dont care I treat people with respect you are just looking for a problem. so you now have something to talk about Oh one more time good ****ing **** yourself hard .....Mr. integrity

#2
pass my car on to everyone show them how nice it is and how many pictures I have too...and that has never been painted except the bumpers and show them my feedback also thanks for the help Mr Know it all ....Maybe some day your dream will come true and just maybe you can own a very rare reef blue Lx like this but not this one. I have owned many foxes bodies and there is nothing wrong with some of them having black piant on the bottom... some came from the dealer like that but you prob. wouldnt know that. also my car can be inspected by anyone any time no problem.....

My 92 is undercoated and dosen't look anything like that. That bottom is way too clean for a 13 year old car. They don't undercoat the driveshaft and axle. Also it looks like the bell housing is painted grey, so the engine or trans have been out of the car. It's certainly a nice car but way over priced and might be hiding something.

Look at the bolts on the transmission, the bottom of the differential, the tops of the rear springs, the hood latch and a lot of the underhood components. Rust. Lots of it.

he should post more pics of the floor boards......for the car being on a hoist I would think there would be better pics of underneath. Looks like he is covering up some rust

I said

I'd rather not call, why can you not answer the questions? why is the underside of the car painted black? it looks clean yes, but it does rase a few questions, as does asking over 10 g's more than it's worth. If the car has been super charged i'd maybe understand, but it's 80% stock? Please answer my questions, thanks and good luck

Q: Hi I'm interested in the car. Just wondering how long you have owned it and if you could clarify something for me. The underside looks nice, but I cannot tell if that is rustproofing or spray paint. I'd appreciate if you could fill me in. Thanks, Tim

Ask him what was lied about (besides his description of the car). I'd like to know. what I lied about. I want to hear what he has to say. Then I can post everything posted between us and we can see what really happened.

Everybody have a great Thanksgiving!!

the car is in connecticut!! its bound to be rusty. he should show some pics of the hatch area, and some pics with the wheels off so we can see those cast iron calipers and drums fared. very clean legit car though on the inside. if i were a lottery winner i would buy it just to have it.

Haha, my car looks exactly like that interior and exerior wise, but under the hood thats a bit cleaner. And I paid 5 grand. Deffinently coverin up rust.

But as for KBB, I wouldn't ever use that for this type of car. A 5.0 in PERFECT condition isn't worth a mere 3 grand.

I just purchased my 93 that is in prime shape, no rust at all. No underbody krylon spray...lol and no shadyness about the deal. Also it came with more bolt ons than this guys. Mine is show quality and I only paid $8,000 for it. Which I thought was high in my opinion.
$14,000 is absurd and he is trying to get over on someone. Especially with that defensive attitude. Mike C never lied about anything, its just this guys guilty conscience talking to him and he thinks its Mike...lol
