Went to weld on the bung for the sensor and realized that the preferred location is about where the 1st Cat is located

Instructions say downstream from the stock NB O2. So what are you guys doing

Gutting the 1st cat and installing the WB O2 between the cats??

I'm not subject to emission testing so either gutting or removing the 1st cat isn't an issue

Thanks, Richard

If you don't need cats, you might want to just get an O/R pipe. It weighs a lot less, sounds better (unless you like the muffled note. That's not sarcasm - some folks like quiet) and will easier facilitate your sensor placement.

Of course gutting a cat is illegal but if it was done for Off-road purposes, I think it sounds like crap. You atleast need to put a straight pipe inside the cat housing so there isnt noise rattling around inside the chamber.

Just MHO.

Good luck.

If you've got a way to tune I can show you a trick to cut off one O2 and put the wideband in the stock location temporarily to do some WOT pulls but still keep your closed loop.

Lotta options. :nice:

I've ordered the BBK off road pipes today. The WB will be tied into the Zeitronix system as well as the AEM-EMS so a temporary fix wasn't what I was looking for.
Thanks for the offer though.
