My brother and I owned Mustangs in the 90s. Neither of us has had one since '96, I believe. Anyway, the itch never fully went away and we recently purchased a beautiful '87 GT with only 33K miles. First order of business is an AOD to T5 swap! Looking forward to good conversation with all of you.

Good move swapping to a T5, I once had an 87 T-bird with a 5.0 and an AOD and back then the shift timing was dreadful on the aod's, not to mention the dual input shafts and the lock up function in 3rd and 4th gear. All that added up to a junk transmission. Mine eventually broke the input shaft backing out of a parking spot at the local wally world with only 72K on it.
