3380 with me in it, 3220 without me, scale is +20/-20 as on my shipping scale I weighed in at 150.45 just a second ago. Just under a 1/4 of a tank of gas

95 GT, 5 speed, cloth front seats, leather rear, power windows and locks, no mach 460, still has the front sway bar, factory 17" Tri Bars, has subframe connectors added for weight.

Weight reduction is no strut tower brace, no dog bone on rearend, no spare tire or jack, no smog pump.

I weighed some other stuff also

Spare, 19.85 LBS

Jack, 5.75 LBS

Insulation in trunk, 1.70 LBS

Lug Wrench, 1.65 LBS

That's pretty good. I really need to find a place to weigh my car. I'm dying to know how much it is since I've removed a lot of junk from it. Do you keep a can of fix a flat with you or something similar since you removed the spare? Oh, and nice avatar.

Brother you need to eat more.

My GTS with big azz 17x10.5s / 9s and about half a tank of gas was right around 3300. I had no spare or a jack.

If you're looking for a place to weigh your car, just pull into a highway weigh station. At least the guys in Massachusetts on 93 were more then willing to let me drive onto the scale. Got a chuckle out of it as well.

There are a few gas stations around that have certified CAT scales you can weight on. Might look around your area...if they fill big rigs they may have a scale.

I am thinking of going to one not too far off. I took of the A/C (hole in the condensor), 99+ front brakes, no strut brace, no spare/jack/ect., no dogbone, I will remove the back seat, and have my weld pro-stars on. I think with 1/4 tank I could be around 3100-3200. I plan on getting a tube K at some point and will prob. wiegh it after that.

Are big truck scales calibrated accurately enough for consumer automobiles?

yeah, close enough. I know alot of people that have done this in the area and it seems to be off no more than what one would expect going from scale to scale. I would not go and try to spec out a new coilover spring rate setup or anything.

I just figured the precision would be off since they are calibrated for several, several tons, when consumer automobiles are in the 2 ton range.

I used a CAT scaled and my 95 vert came in at 3180 lbs. No pass or rear seat w/ welds all around and still power top, locks, and windows. I did do A LOT of weight reduction but none that'll make it look like an all out race car.

I weighed mine last summer but I cant remember what it came in at. I wrote it down on the back of one of my time slips. The local 1/4 track has a scale.

I weighed mine last summer, with me in the car, no weight reduction, and a full tank of gas, it came in at 3,648. I have since gotten corbeau seats so it should be less now.
