When did they rub? Was the car lowered or people sitting in the back. DO you think I will be ok with a 255? Thanks.

The car wasn't lowered at that time and it was without anyone in the back seats. It was just when I hit large bumps or dips in the road it would chew up the sidewall of the tire.
I think 255's will rub as well.

Hissingcobra, how the hell did you fit 295s on an 8" wide rim? Isnt that kinda dangerous?

Nope. If you look at the B.F. Goodrich Catalog, it states that their 295-50-15's will fit on a 15x8" rim (Maximum.)

By using airbags in the springs or air shocks.
