Just picked up a 67 coupe (It's my first mustang). Has a built 302 w/4-speed, manual drum brakes and it seriously need an upgrade over the sacked out Cragar S/S wheels. I have always loved the Draglite wheels.

So, my question is recommendation on wheel sizes/tire sizes and apparently backspacing is an issue. I'd like to roll on 17's if thats do-able

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated !!!!!!!

I think Draglites in 17" on an early Mustang would look reminiscent of a tractor-trailer. 15s are as big as I would go personally.

Me too

I did 18x10'on the rear and 18x9's up front that I cut .800 out of to get them to fit. 245's on the 8.2s up front and 275s in back. 6" backspacing in the back and I think 4.5 in the front. If you run 17s with stock uca's you will likely have interference if you go wider than 7.5" . 18s cleared the the uca but it is close.

Ecco on what these guys said. Should look cool, though. Take some pics when you get them.
