Yes. Axle hop was what I was thinking. I already am running BBK upper and lowers. 275/50R's seem a little large. Wouldn't they turn my 3.55 gears into 3.27's? .... Opps. Just checked MT and I see the 275/50R's are only 26" diamater. Though they do suggest using a 10" rim.tjm73 said:15x8"

Quad shocks gotta go, they are garbage and are not needed. Ditch them. They really don't do much anyway.
If you get upper/lower control arms and a pinion snubber, you'll have a realiable and very capable rear suspension for a street/strip car. You won't get axle hop, if that's your concern.
I'm not to concerned about removing the quads. I've always heard they were pretty much useless if you had good upper and lowers. If I didn't have to that would be fine also. I currently have 235/60R's on the stock 10 holes and was thinking about some Welds for track us only. Right ... Checked the MT sight and saw that the 275/50R 15's were about the same. Didn't the 8.8 have an pinion snubber from the factory? I thought that is what I pulled off when I installed PHP axle braces. If it was I'm not sure I can run both. Besides, as long as I'm on a drag radial I really don't have to worry about traction. No matter what I recommend a pinion snubber. They cost like $50 bucks and dramitically change the amount of traction you will get. When I hit the gas, I feel my car squat a little bit and then the snubber does it's thing and the entire car raises up and just flat out hauls A down the road. It's sweet.
235/60R15's and 275/50R15's are almost the exact same height. Won't change your rpm's enough to notice.

LOL ...... Now I remember you're car. You're car definitly sits a lot higher then mine. I'm wondering if I used a 1/4" spacer that I would minimize the amount of inner fender pounding I would have to do, yet still allow for outter fender clearance. With the Uppers and lowers that you have, that shouldn't be a problem. You can use a 15x8 drag lite with 5.5" of backspacing, but may have to massage the inner fender well just a little. We're talking maybe a quarter inch here. If the car is lowered, maybe a little more. Here's a couple of pics.
