Hood flew up on me today on the way to school. I could of sworn I shut it right, I was so pissed at myself. Well here's the damage.

Can I just unbolt the cowl panel, or does it have to be cut out? I'm not too worried about the plastic piece; the metal part does worry me.

Ever since I got me car painted, it has been a magnet for other people's stupidity as well as my own. This is what is left after some lady did not know to stop before the line that separates the two parking spaces.

Bro i have SOOOOO been there...

Mine flew up on the drag strip at 85+ mph.. Bashed the TOP OF THE CAR TOO.. $2000 in damage. about wrecked waiting for the electric wondows to roll down so i could stick my head out,.

u got lucky. man so did i today.. i was on my way home from picking up my steering column at my friends house with my truck thank god for push bars.. i hit a pot hole and it made me turn almost rite into a tree.. luckly i jus clipped it and with some scratches on the paint and a broken side view mirror

Only if you dont latch it right. Metal hoods have a much smaller chance of the latch failing. My hood is 27 years old and has never flown up.
