It's about freakin time. I finally just buttoned up my s/c install. I have yet to rev it past 3500, i want to wait to get it tuned. Hopefully i'll be seein atleast 350hp. I'll post later with pics after i finish cleaning and painting everything nice. I have one question though, does the BOV have to shoot back into the inlet tube, or can i just have it blowing off into the engine bay.

I believe it needs to go back into the inlet track because it has been measured by the MAF already and can screw-up the computer. Might want to post on the power adder forum.

If you blow it off into the engine bay than your car will be really rich when you let off the throttle. Just like the other guy said....It is already metered.

If you have everything installed in your sig than I think you'll be seeing close to 400rwhp maybe 380....That blower isn't quite as efficient as an s-trim but you do have decent heads and cam.... Should rip

Oh, i see now. How bad does a rich condition hinder performance? Besides using more gas what other problems would i see. Also, the BOV doesn't have to sit horizontal right? Cause i'm turning it down for better fitment.

If Thumper heads and an 8lb Paxton doesn't get you into the 12's, something is very wrong. I say it's a sure bet!

Do you have a "blow thru" MAF or a draw thru? If its a blow thru, then yes vent the the BOV to the atmosphere. If its a draw through then it needs to go back into the intake tract, but after the MAF.

i'm not sure what type of MAF it is. It is a 75mm bullit, plastic, and it has a tube inside where the actual wires on the meter are.

Yeah that is a regular style draw through meter. No problem though. Just attach a tube to the Bypass valve and put a grommet or something in the intake pipe between the blower inlet and after the meter. Attach the hose to it and you won't have any problem. If you blow it off to the atmoshpere it isn't a BIG deal but.... It will be rich between shift and may pop through the exhaust. You really just wanna do it right.

Yeah, i rigged it up, thanks for the help. Do you know if i just hook a vacuum line to the BOV, or do i hook it up to the fitting on my s/c housing?

It can be any vaccum line. but yeah the fitting on the blow might be the one that it is for.

As far as 12's should be EASY.

As far as HP, I saw over 350 with stock heads and cam, AODE with converter and Vortech at 10#'s, with 30's and FMU.

Any updates? I would also guess way over 350rwhp. And probably low low 12's/high 11's.

Wow that does sound really low. Shoot, just the 8lbs should put down very close to 304rwhp. From eerything I've read. hhhmmmm Good luck man.

Yeah, i don't know what the deal is. It does run way rich, but i still expected sooooo much more. My new pinging problem has just pushed me to go with a big N/A setup. I really don't know what else to do with it. I've been through everything every mustang guru has suggested to stop the pinging. I'm pulling the vc's off tommorrow, because i must have a mechanical problem.
