Welp, to say the least I'm disappointed. My best was a 14.6 run and that - to me is simply horrible for my mods. Granted this was my first time going to the track, I still wanted to run better. Well.. my 60ft wasn't too too bad 2.2... but my 1/4 is killing me and I think a majority had to do with me leaving my subwoofers in. So this is what I plan on doing... Getting rid of one of the subs & amps that I have, and getting a bottle of NOS to replace them. Is NOS legal at the track? Please keep in mind I'm still kind of new at this whole thing and I'd like feedback on NOS.. will it screw my engine and internal up royally of I ONLY use it at the track? Becuase there's no way I'd use on street. Anyways any kind of feedback would be greatly apprciated. Thanks guys!

I dont think track owners care if the N.O.S copration is at their track.

Take the subs out and loose the 20s(if you still have them). That will help.

If you use it at the track when you go and not all the time, you should be easily safe.To me, alot of repeaded use is not good on the engine, well lets just say it does not help the engine LOL.So yea if your not going to use it much its the best/cheapest way to drop 1/4 time, but remember that it may seem cheap, but eventually after all the bottle refills (should be able to make a few runs per bottle at 100 HP, dont hold me to it though) you could have bought a blower and a new short block. But that will take a LONG time since you will only use it at the track, but for street sprayers it will be cheaper to buy a SC in the long run.(think its 30 per fill up where I live) Anyways hope that helps, and be SURE to get a tune before you go out spraying it at the track to make sure everything is good so you wont screw your engine. On older engines you just slap it on basically but with these new EFI engines I believe you need a tune.

Don't go to the track with more than a 1/4 tank of gas either.

LOL, I don't have 20's I have 2 10's. So NOS would be the best/cheapest way to lower my 1/4? What could I run with a NOS kit from the 14.6 I ran w/o NOS, any ideas?

Well, how much do you think NX could lower my times? Also, where can an NX kit be purchased and is it the same installation as a NOS kit? Thanks!

Most GT guys run the 100 shot and it roughly takes off 1 second and adds 10mph in the 1/4-mile. www.mustang-x.com used to have the best NX prices. Make sure you get the Ford EFI kit, Gen X-2 upgrade, and an RPM window switch to be as safe as possible.

I fill mine up for 15

Nitrous is safe if TUNED and USED correctly. If your spraying while driving to get grocerys do yourself and take the bottle out lol. NX makes GREAT nitrous kits for sure. And trust me. It will be HARD for some punk camaro that wants to race for you to fight the urge to open that valve lol

Ok, now I have the JMS Performance chip with firmed shift points and all that good stuff, rev limited raised ect. Will that do fine? Or will I have to get it re-burned? I'd prefer not to get it reburned becuase I'd hate to ship it back and wait for a while and not getting it done. So is the chip re-burning a requirement? The only time I will use the NX is on the track of course, maybe once to see how it feels before hand. But def. not outside of the track after the test of course. Thanks for all the help so far guys.

Take out the subs, spare tire, and don't go with more than a quarter of a tank of gas. Go with NX or TNT. Both look like they put to the wheels what they are rated at.

Modular depot had a write up on getting into the 12's NA.. really good and helpful write up, no matter what your goals are.

So can anyone give me advice about my chip? Does it need to be reburned if I get the NX? Thanks
