C4 "Performance Trans" Raybestos and fairbanks parts
3000 stall
306
Probe industries Crank
PI H rods
Ross Pistons
10:3:1 compression
Custom Lunati Cam
.565/.570 221/232 111 LSA
AFR 185 58 cc heads
Trick flow Track heat intake
70mm TB
75mm MASS air
24 lb injectors
Mac CAI
Stock Fuel Lines
Stock fuel Pump
Tubular K-member
fiberglass hood
no smog/ac
Weld draglites 275/50/15 BFG's and 3.5 skinnies up front
Mac Shortie headers
h-pipe
dumped flowmasters
subframe connectors

thats all i can think of at the moment im sure im probally leaving out a few
small things anyway, my car with a 3:73 gear went 15.2@ like 89 mph
speed up to some time and with a faulty AOD and Tourqe converter the car went 13.7@102

we put the C4 in along with teh weld draglites and it felt alot faster witht eh working converter(duh) took it to the track and the best i could get out of it was a 13.2@102 i dropped 5 tenths with the trans and the drag radials best 60 foot of 1.9 btw but absolutely NO mph?? i know i know 2 seconds is alot of time to drop off an ET but doesnt it seem like there should be more in it? or am i just being silly?

Yeah, there should be a whole lot more in it.

dyno tuning on a non power adder 5.0 involves a fuel pressure regulator and soem software, lidios right hand man told me this, he siad its kind of a waste of money unless im running a blower or other power adder. Even untuned id think it should be putting better numbers down, could running a stok fuel pump really be holding me back this much?

I would venture to guess that your combo should be going 12.20 to 12.40 @ 110-111. You may want to go with a 4.10 rear gear. What is your car's rpm while crossing the line? What rpm do you make peak horsepower? When crossing the line, you want the rpms to be right where the horsepower is peaking.

Might need some 30lbs injectors, too. You'll need them when you get over 300 to the wheels.

Thats not true - the stock injectors are good up to 280-290 HP, so only between there adn 300 can you use 24#ers?? 24#ers are good up to at LEAST 350HP and then some - he doesn't have a power adder - or nitrous -

Is it true that a stock fuel pump could REALLY be holding him up that much?? This I have no idea about - but it will definately assist my descision to get a new one because i'm less than 3 weeks away from turning the key...

Well the car crosses the line between 5500-6000 RPM's i like the 3:73 and i dont think it would be neccesary to go to 4:10, im gonna be spraying it with a 150 wet shot on top of this, but i want to get the most out of this motor combo. i dont know where it peaks on HP it has never been on a dyno... maybe theres somethign up with the combo.

Not trying to be funny, but try to go to a "performance enhancing" driving school, I took off almost 2 full seconds auto x-ing with my wrx by taking a class, Also learning the turbo lag helped me extremely... Just a suggestion, sometimes instead of looking at the car parts that will make you faster you just need to get faster as a driver ...

(Example: A stock 05 STI should be at a 13:6 1/4 mile ... some ppl have gotten as low as 13:2 ... some ppl get 15's ...) ... IT's all about the driver...

I agree. That combo should go atleast mid 12's and mid-low 11's with juice. People with stock motors and bolt-ons are running low-mid 13's w/230rwhp.

Redeem, if i had a stick i would take you up on your advice, but i have a 3 speed automatic, i dont need them to teach me how to foot stall a TQ converter. Ok weve established that it should be faster then what it is, i also forgot to mention im running on stock ignition down to the coil. that being said anymore ideas guys?

absolutely not....24 lb'ers and a 190 is more than adequate right now for you.

of course if you plan a power adder later, then might as well go 255

you talked of lidio, are you in se MI ???? i'm in the shores

where did you run? lapeer is notorious for bad mph

anyways....i think your close actually....w/ a 'vert

i weighed my old '90 lx 'vert w/ me and 1/2 tank was 3600 lbs ....and 3.73's and 100 shot it went 13.60's from a 15.10 pass same day NA

so your looking at about a 140 hp gain from your stock times, of course some of it gearing and traction, so a little less....but all in all...not far from where you should be. i would guess your combo good for 12.80-13.0

and remember what was your 60' like b4...more hook can be less mph
