went to the track tonight, pulled a few 1.7' 60's again on my nittos, staged went to launch, and boom...

the pass. side wheel rotates, and rotates the driveshaft along with it, but when i try to rotate the driver side wheel, it does not move. when i put the car in 1st gear and let the clutch out, the pass. side wheel rotates whereas the drivers side makes a nasty clunking noise, and will sometimes spin, whereas other it just makes the noise and does not.

any ideas.
hopefully i can get it fixed by thursday at 4 am, cuz thats when i have work.

thanks
matt

ps. got it towed back to my apt. complex

I would pull the differential cover and see if you can see the axle splines where the c-clip holds it in place. It may make itself obvious once you get the cover off. If it snapped, it will probably be easy just to pull on the wheel real hard and it will slide out in your hand.

You would have to remove the brake caliper to do that. :nice:

Yep...that would be obvious. Anyway you will know for sure once you do this. If it is a broken axle you may want to replace the wheel bearings to make sure you don't leave metel in there to screw them up.
