Went to the track tonight

Hey guys, i went to my 1/8th mile track tonight. I didnt do so good. I have some chitty ass tires. I pulled off a 9.347 @ 80 mph with a HORRIBLE 2.426 60'. All my other passes my 60' was 2.1. damn, if i had that 2.1 on that run, i wouldve been flying. And i had to race an 03 cobra. He got a 9.2 (stupid bastard couldnt drive for anything). Then he had to race another 03 cobra and the blue 03 got a 7.6. The crowd was in shock. it was awesome.

What are your mods?

If you are trapping 80mph in the 1/8th, you must have quite a few bolt-ons.

yeah thats some ****ty traction. Before my new mods and recent problems i went 8.78 @ 80.88 with a 1.99 60ft on nitto drags. slap some nittos on there as long as ur not dumb with them they last just fine and hook 1 milion times better than any street tire.

Well u didnt do as bad as i did when i first got my car i ran a 12.5 in and 1/8th...... I launched at 3k on street tires and there was nothing but a smoke show.... i thought the water box was in the middle of the track

If you are trapping 80mph in the 1/8th, you must have quite a few bolt-ons.

plugs, wires, CAI, 76mm maf, 65mm tb, ported manifold, headers, o/r h pipe, flowmasters, 3.73s, 31 spline axles, 31 spline auburn differential, trak lok, upper and lower steeda control arms, 180* t-stat, aluminum driveshaft, steeda loweriing springs, kyb struts and shocks, no rear seats, no dog bone, no passenger seat, no spare and jack

that should be it.

yep. the shi*iest track around. shoulda been there man, there were some fassst cars running tonight.

Man I wish I woulda known they were running tonight Yea that track is so uneven you cant really rely on the times...I am sure at a good track you would have been 2 or 3 tenths faster.... Any fast imports to watch out for in the area? (Just so I dont pick a fight with the wrong wrx)

the fastest import ran consistent 9.3s. Its a gutted, yellow CRX with a black hood....and a garbage bag, driver side, quarter window the mustangs were on the ball though. after the 03 cobra ran a 9.2, the blue cobra taught him how to drive it a little better an he got an 8.6. there was a red 2000ish stang that ran 8.4s and there was a fox running with him. I was the slowest of the pack

I ran a 8.7xx@79 in the 98 a few weeks ago, it ran 8.3@84 on a 75 shot, your mph shows potential, you gotta get that 60 down.
