Well yesterday was my first time to the track and it was great. The even was the Ford Vs. GM Shootout put together by NorCal LS1. I had the mods in sig with stock tires, no spare in trunk, and half a tank of gas with my 89 octane tune.
This was at the beginning of the day. They set the cars up for tech inspection and then it was off for time trials. The set my car up in the Stock Bracket:
Here I am on my first ever run and it was against an 04 Cobra on Slicks
That run I ran 14.170 @ 98.947 with a .157 R/T & a 2.183 60' time
I ran consistent 14.1's all day.
These were my other runs during time trials:
Second Run against a SC'ed Fox Hatch:
15.771 @ 92.834 with a .286 R/T & a disgusting 2.537 60'
I couldn't get traction at all at first.
Third Run against a Turbo 95 GT:
Redlighted 14.172 @ 98.903 with a -.034 R/T & a 2.216 60'
This was my bracket. I was the ONLY Ford there. Not pictured was a Chevy Cobalt SS. He was the first person I ran against. My time I chose was 14.1 and beat his 14.3 that he chose. I ran 14.118 @ my highest trap of the day of 99.740 with a .249 R/T & a 2.349 60'. The Cobalt ran a 14.600 @ 99.519 with a .347 R/T & a 2.574 60'.
For the second race, I was against a newer Pontiac GTO 5.7.
This was kinda heart breaking because I lost by .002!, but I got my best time of the day.
I ran a 14.098 @ 99.262 with a 1.122 R/T & a 2.211 60'. The GTO's bracket was a 13.10 and he ran a 13.200 @110.506 with a .047 R/T & a 110.506.

There was one more run but I lost the time slip to it.
Last friday I bought an o/r X pipe and was in a rush to get it on but couldnt. I think with it on and some better tires i can get into the 13s easily.
