I know a while back in 96, when the 4.6 debuted in the Mustang, that not much in the way of aftermarket heads was ever really developed(at least not compared to the 5.0L market) But how about today?? Are there any good heads available? ...Or is it still stock ported/polished or 99+ PI heads? Bestow your knowledge upon me!

Off the subject, but...

I saw that P51 intake... something like $1200 bones for it! :jaw:

PI heads...they just the same head as 1996-98 GT, but with a smaller combustion chamber or shaved deck? I heard they bump compression to like 10.3:1? Can PI heads be ported/polished enough to make a worth-while difference?

honestly heads is the last mod i would probably do... they would definatly be very helpful for high boost applications, but a forged shortblock would come first in my opinion. hopefully by the time i can afford a new shortblock, axles, clutch..... the heads will be mass produced and only $800 a pair!! :bs:

Yeah no kidding. Does anybody know if some of the big names, like trickflow or edelbrock have any intention of producing a 4.6 head?

trickflow is working on a manifold, and they not gonna start on heads till they get the manifold out, or at least thats what ive heard, on a different note, im tired of seeing all these ls1 a$$holes getting 500rwhp on motor, im ready for some serious n/a power parts to come out for out stangs, btw anybody know what kinda power people have gotten outa these things n/a????

Aftermarket companies : We are now going to start releasing H/C/I packages for cheap on the 2v Modulars....

*2005 comes*

Aftermarket Companies : Did we say 2v? We meant 3v.
