What are the main causes for running rich?

I like 2002BLGT's thoughts for the miss. On the no-spark wire, also consider the wire being bad. Ohm it out, swap on a spare, or switch it with another similar-length wire (to see if the miss follows the wire).

Chythar has you covered on the purge solenoid. :nice:

Be sure to atleast seal the hoses if there's an issue - otherwise you have a manifold vac leak.

if your car wont stop priming the pump then thats sounds like the relay for the fuel pump is bad or maybe the ground for it is bad.its under the front seat, driver side.

On an aero foxes through about '91 this is true. On 94-95's, it's in the CCRM, which is on the radiator-overflow bracket.

if you have no spark on just one cylinder it would have to be rotor, cap, wire, or plug.

What you should do is hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see what kinda PSI you're running. A simple diagnosis could reveal your issues...otherwise you're just shooting in the dark.

good luck on the issue

i'm running rich since I installed my mac o\r h-pipe... the o2 are still there but they're toasted... not sure what to do, i replaced them a few years ago and got the same problem. it kills my fuel economy indeed...

Are talking about the stock NB O2 sensors or WB O2's? Installing the OR pipe should be irrelevant. If you have installed WB's in the stock locations you are guaranteed a short life expectancy. EGT's are much too hot for them in that location.
