Im working on a 347 build all i have so far are Twisted wedge heads and a '69 302 block. I plan on using a CHP kit because i understand that their pistons will clear the valves if the cam isnt too crazy. I plan on getting the heads and intake port matched. I might even take the heads to get cleaned up (budget permiting).
The car will have full AC/PS/PB and will be a daily driver. I want an intake/cam that will still perform well on the track and the street. I was looking at the Trick Flow Track Heat or the R but i think the R might be a bit much. I have even looked into the Holley and RPM II. But the TFS are a little cheaper so they are a little more appealing
Im shooting for low 400's at the flywheel. I also am looking at maybe a 100-150 shot down the road just to help get things moving.
i was maybe even thinking of doing the head/intake porting myself. I have extra junk parts that i could practice on. I know you must be very careful but i would just be looking at port matching heads and intake and removing casting marks in the heads. Is this something that anyone who is will to take their time be able to do.
Thanks
Zach
