I did the EXTREME weight reduction to my '85GT

List of what i took out.

Keep in mind, my goals for this car are a dedicated strip/project car that might see a cruise around town on a sunny day (hell it's got T-tops)

I removed:
A/C
heater/AC box in interior and all vents, switches and related hardward
Power steering
EVERYTHING emmissions related
front sway bar
sound deadener
converted tro manual windows and removed power door locks
door bracing
stereo
dogbone
spare and jack
cruise control
fiberglass hood

much more

Three pickup beds full of junk. There was so much more i took out but i forget off the top of my head. Things like inner fender liners wiper motor, antenna and wipers got trashed too. and even the stock wiring got trashed. I am running a painless 18-circuit harness for my carbed motor.

My goal is to make the car look stock inside and out. That means full interior and stock exterior. But if you really look..the car is empty. Nothing in the engine bay and nothing behind the dash or under the carpet

i think im going to get a 4-cylinder body and completely gut and install a tubular k-member and full race setup instead of stripping out my 5.0. id have to change to manual doors and locks anyways. id like to find a good standalone fuel and ignition system first and figure out how to dial it all in.
