Whatever you do don't do stripes like this, they look terrible. Make sure they are wide and they have a small gap. Black and white both look good, and I agree with some of the others that a light silver could work as well.

I actually saw a guy with an old Shelby Cobra painted in legend lime and it had brown stripes. At first I thought it would look horrible, but it actually turned out really nice.

Yeah I really never liked that colour, but it looks like it really needs stripes of some type to improve the look. At least to my eyes anyways. White or Black look good.
