Currently Pioneer Premier 740MP head unit
In the process of changing out the rears with infinity perfects will order the fronts soon and also coming soon will be two infinity kappa perfect 10's and a power acoustik 5 channel amp

Pioneer 9400 head unit, Focal front componets, Crossfire vr-7050 Class D amp, Image Dynamics ID12, crossfire 5x7's rear, no pics @ the moment (1/3 is still on my floor awaiting me to get the urge to finish the install:nonono: ) Here's a deck pic though, the thing's amazing.

I know nothing (well, not much) about sound systems. I have a Pioneer 52x4 H/U. Infinty Kappa's in the front. Sony Xplode's in rear. Dual 460W amplifier. A off-brand 10" sub in a truck box, lol. IT SOUNDS LIKE CRAP!!! Everything came with the car when I bought it except the Kappa's, amp, & truck sub. I'll probably end up taking it to a sound shop .... unless you guys can help me make it sound good.

It's kinda high pitched .... no bass at all. And if I turn the low up ..... all I get is lots of vibration. How can I fix it guys. Could something be hooked up wrong .... or am I in need of a new H/U? I know the truck box needs to go & the amp kinda sucks, but it should definitely sound better than this!

Pioneer 940MP head unit
Diamond 6 1/2" components all around (with the front tweeters in the Mach460 pods)
JL Audio 4 channel
RF sub amp
3 - E-dgn Audio flat-diaphragm composite 12's
For the wiring, I ripped out ALL of the stock wiring. Even the head unit has it's own fused power cable. My main power has a 100 amp circuit breaker (same kind your house uses) rather than a fuse. So when I want to work on it, I just flip the breaker off.

Checkout my homemade rear deck panel :D

Right now I just finished installing my Kenwood MP8282 deck with Sirius and am waiting for it to get a litlte warmer before I start playing with the MDF to build a new subbox to hold my dual 12" Kenwood subs and KAC-9152D monoblock amp

Hey blk9450, your bass would probably sound a lot better if you turn that box around to face the rear bumper.

Right now I have an Alpine CDA-7893 headunit
Kicker 5X7's front and rear on a
Verge 4 channel amp
2- Infiniti 1230W's on a
RF 1050S

I'm still using the Mach 460 tweets for the time being also.

Just depends on what you listen to and how. I've done every configuration in the stang. The BEST combo was a ported box with the vent to the rear and sub to the front. Right now I'm running the subs in a sealed box so I faced them to the rear for better extension, but it sacrifices a lot of clarity. I listen to mostly death metal and drum&bass so it's hard to get them both perfect with one setup.

rignt now I have a 10in kicker comp sub (older model, before the comp model change), just fried my kenwood amps have a audiobahn 4ch powering my polk (mid level line) 5x7 front and rear, and an old pioneer amp powering the sub. Dont know what I am going to get as far as amps go...I want kicker, but prob. will get alpine, or RF amps.

I have a clarion cd with 6disc changer and a Sony digital EQ, RF two amp wire setup with dist. blocks, 4ga wire going down to 8ga at the amps from the blocks.

Had 2 10in kicker comps in there but I wanted more trunk space and so did the wife so we took out her MTX thunder 2 10in box and put one of the kickers in her car...she was pissed but after hearing it "damn that one 10 sounds better than both my others did".

I had 4 of those 10" in a T-Bird back in the day. Then I had 3 of the 12" in a Cougar. They really screwed up when they changed everything. The old Comps were as good as it got for the $$$. Now you have to get the L7's to do anything.
