Trust me the Callenger is not a collectors item. They will make as many of them as they can sell. Just like Ford did with the GT500. The Shelby was supposed to be a low prodution car with a two year run. They made 10,847 cars in 07 alone, god knows how many for 08 and the 09s have been confirmed. They will sell them till they cant sell them anymore.

They are building the hype up by only releasing a limited number of SRT8s this year and then for next year they will flood the market with them.

Your mistaken they only made 7200 6.1L SRT8's so far and Dodge will
not be building much more. The 5.7L version of the Challenger they will
probably be building more of but Dodge will keep the 6.1L SRT8 model
of the Callenger in low production witch is great and will make resale
value higher on the 6.1L SRT8 model only.In the future the new Callenger
will be a collectors item.

Fisrt they only made 6400 for this year.

The Challenger will be a collectors item as much as the other SRT cars. Yea ok maybe 40-50 years from now it might be but so will the 03-04 Cobras and even more so the 07-08 GT500s. The thing is those 6400 cars are just for THIS YEAR. Now if they made a one year run then they would be collector cars, but they aren't. They are limiting them to build up hype and then in 09 they can flood the market with them and still have them sell fairly well. Like I said its the same thing Ford did. They will be just like all the SRT8 modles. If you recall it was hard to find a Jeep and Charger SRT8 when they first came out too.
