ok are the deal im going to be doing a small topend built with some other goodys add to the mix tell me what you guys/girls think.

1.afr 165 stud mount heads
2.tubular gt40 intake upper and lower
3.70mm trottle body
4.24lbs injectors with matching mass air flow
5.bbk shortys
6.2.5 cat back ex with h-pipe7
7.steeda #19 cam
8.2500 stall convertor
9.local tranny shops shift kit
10.double roller timing chain
11.and a good tune
12.1.7 roller rockers
by the way all port will be gasket matched but the ex

and for the tires im thinking 295/40r17 out back and 245/40r17 in the front i have 03 bullit rims on it now and i like the look.
keeep in mind im not rebuilting the 70,000 mile motor just adding some power to it and this is going to be a somewhat of a buget build.

the 03 bullet wheels are stock wheels? no way are you fitting a 295 on an eight inch rim.

the rest of the build seems decent enough. what are your end goals for the combo?

Sounds good... I would think that would end up around the 340 range. Thats a good cam, I had one and the puter liked it.

Looks pretty good

I'd do three things differently myself

1) 30's
2) maybe mid length runner intake (how high will that #19 pull to?)
3) lt's

not knowing how high the cam will make power

I'd put 2 on the bottom of the list
but
If it pulls to 6K I'd not use the gt40 as it drops off quikly after 5K

you're gonna get a tune
therefore
why limit yourself to inj's that are at the limit without excessive pressure

LT's for sure :Word:

They make a difference
more importantly
The difference they make is a good bit beyond a small difference

A thought or two from my neck of the woods

Sounds like a great build engine wise. Peak power would probably be in the 310 range with that cam, but it would have a very decent average power. I'd honestly skip to the #18 cam to squeeze a little more out of that. You can run a 1.72 rocker on either of those cams to get a little better lift profile. It still shouldn't have any PTVC issues.

Where are you finding the Steeda number cams? Just wondering?

Doesn't have the full cam card, but it has the critical profile data that everyone looks at anyway.

Sounds like a good setup. Either of the Steeda cams should give you good lowe end power with those heads. Optimum shifting point would probably be around 5800 rpm. But if you aren't going to race it, 5500 sounds fine.

Kurt's right on, 340would be wishfull thinking 310 sounds more obtainable. I also like the #18 cam in the SN cars and their wonderful stock EEC.
