what does a bone stock 5.0 cound like???

They're quiet as a church mouse. Not loud at all, but have zero drone. Don't sound like much. 3 months ago I could have gotten a sound clip for you, but my buddy put MAC cat-back on his, to that point, unmodified '88 'vert.

when I bought my 90 LX 5.0 nearly 4 years ago, it was all stock - still is mostly except for the flows and some other things, but it was quiet compared to the flowmasters now....which isn't really loud, but you can tell it's there. There's a guy by my work who has a 93 Cobra and you can barely hear it from 100 ft away when he's driving unless he mashes it, then it wakes up a bit.

boring is right. My car still has the stock exhaust for now and its not even a true dual

You have to change that exhaust man. Every time me and my brother hear you drive by we think the UPS truck is coming to my house to deliver some stuff for us. I run to the door and its not a UPS truck, its your car.

hahaha, I know its awful. This winter the x-pipe and headers are going in. My car was totally stock when I bought it (and for the most part still is). Slowly it'll get there.

One of my 89 Notches has bone stock exhaust and is fairly quiet.

Car had 6800 miles on it when it was stolen.
Now, 1-1/2 months after they took it, I got it back with 12,200 miles and the thiefs broke the mufflers in nicely for me ... they were a little deeper when I drove it home from the impound yard :nice: :nonono:

Yeah, I noticed that about your car. Another thing is you have one of the very few mustangs that doesnt have screaming powersteering. Mine screams and its perfect. Mack's (across the street)is also starting to whine and about 3 other guys I know with foxes have it too. Thank you ford!
