about 4 weeks ago I picked up a 89 lx that had issues got the bugs worked out and plan on taking it to the track. I dont really wana waste my time or money to have a high 14 time slip im new in the mustang world so here are the mods
performer upper and lower, a/c delete, 351 heads(put on before i owned it)e303 cam,1.7 aluminum roller rockers, hedman equal length headers, mac h pipe, 410 gears, 24#injectors, 5 speed, lakewood drag struts and shocks, rear control arms, and a big tach with a shift light, tach alone should giveme 2 tenths rite (lol)
let me know what you guys think thanks

I have given up on "what should I expect times". First off, I can't drive to save my life. Second off, when you try to figure out what time you should run you will almost always leave the track disappointed.

I agree with the above.

For reference, my sister has an 89 GT, Explorer heads, Intake, bolt ons, 3.55s but a street car. They took it to the track once, went 14.2 @ 98 or so.

Brother has an 86 GT, Explorer heads (with a valve job), Cobra Intake, bolt ons, 4.10s and suspension. Car runs consistent 11.7-11.8s @ 115.

My car as stock heads with larger valves and a valve job, Cobra intake, 4.10s, bolt ons etc and has been 12.9 on street tires, 12.5 on slicks.

Three very different timeslips, with 3 reletively close combos.

So in the end, NO CLUE what your car will run. Anywhere from 12s to 15s, with my guess being middle 14s, for safety sake.

This.

It's all in the details of the car.
It's also in the driver.
