So my heater core went on my convertible. I know you might say "dude, you live in Hawaii...who cares" and I get that but I am the kind of guy that wants thing to work the correct way so I decided this weekend was the time to do it. I knew my dash was bad in this car, but I had no idea HOW bad it was. It was cracked EVERYWHERE! It looked like someone had literally kicked the dash several times. This car has 80k original miles so not sure what was up with that. Anyway, I had a spare dash...just needed to paint the end's to match so I did. Then I used my vents, dash pad from the car. I got the heater core swapped, entire dash swapped and it came out awesome.

Here is the old dash.

And the "new" dash painted and ready to install

and installed

I've done the heater core replacement on a /90 Mustang. What a nasty, nasty job. Sure feels good when you've got it done.
Good job.

My dash has a hack paint job on it. I really need to pull it, replace my 29 year old heater core, and paint it while its out. Not looking forward to it, as Ive never done it before.
