I've just bought a C&L kit(tube, filter ,sheild, maf) off ebay, very cheap, for my gt 1996,the only thing is, the MAF is 85mm,so,i was wondering if the MAF is to big?

Should i install the kit without the MAF? and buy an adapter to intall the stock MAF?

So far i have these mod: PI cams
PI intake
75MM DRAGON T/B+PLENUM
U/D pulleys
timing pulley
screaming demon coils
O/R pro chamber+dynomax turbo mufflers
180 thermostat

future mod: 3.73 gear

When changing MAF the car must be re-tuned.

not a C&L, it is old school and uses sample tubes to trick the computer to see a certain airflow. This is not good on the 96 newer cars thus the reason C&L MAF's are a waste of money on our cars. Stock MAF is fine for mildly modified cars. You won't need a new/bigger maf until over 350rwhp usually.
