What is needed to properly lower your fox?

I know the obvious is lowering springs. But do I need CC plates, bumpsteer and all that jazz? I do plan on doing a 5 lug swap on 88 GT. And possibly going 17x9 on the tires. But I want to do everything right the first time.

Springs.......CC plates are a must for a propper alignment.

While your there it is a good idea to do shocks, struts and some Poly busings.

Depending on the 5 lug swap; what spindles you go with and how low you go you may need a bump steer kit...

what situations require bumpsteer? or not?

For the average driver you probably would never need the bumpsteer kit. If you do "spirited" driving a lot then you may want to get them.

For me... I got Ford B springs, poly isolators and CC plates. Drives fine.
