What is the Best Available

I have a 2002 Roush 2 Convertible- and I am looking for a stereo that will take up the entire OEM radio unit's space- its what- about 6in tall by 5in wide (just a rough guestimate)- also- where can I find the best speakers to replace the one's in the doors by the window and the backseat one's that are part of the convertible???? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Just out of curiousity why do you want a double din radio? You can get much much much more variety if you go with a single din set-up. Anyways if you really want double din...

Oh and speakers it all depends on how much you want to spend. For example I'm going with Kicker K5 components up front and Kicker K5 2-ways out back.

If you want the "best", then go to www.theautophile.com and order everything from there. Go with either Diamond or Brax amplifiers, Rainbow or Alpine F1 Status front speakers, and maybe Macintosh or Denon head unit. Don't forget to use Kimber Cable to wire the thing. Then, call up the witchdoctor to do a voodoo chant to convince everyone else it's the best.
Or, go to a few local dealers and listen to some setups. Go to a Mustang-specific gettogether and listen to systems there. Decide what you like. THAT is what is truly the BEST.
BTW, there are no head units that fit properly in place of the entire 1.5-2 DIN space left. Either go with an available mounting kit, or get a good shop to fab up something (recommended).

asking what is the best is a bad question. you will get 100 differant oppinions. my personal say, there is one very cool HU you can get, that is the kenwood ddx7015. double din in dash dvd, but that might not be for you. on headunits check online, read some reviews, and pick one in your price range. as for speakers, listen to as many as you can, and buy what you like.
