What people think of the 94-95 5.0's

Ya know since I've owned my 94, I've learned that the 94-95 5.0's are not very highly regarded and people think of these cars as jokes.

Just wondering why this is? Also if any of you have stories of people slamming ur SN-95 please post them up. Wanna see if I am the only one that has this problem.

Ive never had anyone say anything bad to me about my 94, i actually get compliments all the time. They are just as capable as fox bodied stangs just a little heavier. Ive heard lots of **** talking about 96-98 GT's tho.

Yeah the 96-98 guys get it almost as bad as we do

I usually never hear anything bad, unless it is some mullethead in a Camaro or something talking $hit just beacause it is a Ford. But as far as people bashing 94-95's? I haven't heard it. In fact, the 94's & 95's are probbably the best years for the SN95 since we have the better body, but still have the 5.0L.

I guess its a pretty biased forum to ask that question in but I like the look and of my 95 way better than my 89lx I had 4 years ago. Plus I was just getting my permit when these cars came out so that might have something to do with it also, I wanted a 95 bad when i was in high school.

Usually the only thing I hear about 94-95 is "Oh, thats got the 5.0 right? Hell yea I love 5.0's..." or something similar.

I bought a 94-95 because they have what I want...SN-95 body w/ the 5.0.

I have never heard that. These cars are actually highly regarded when it comes to car people. They have a better chassis than the fox plus they are the last of the 5.0 liters. I know my car still gets some major stares, even though it's 10 years old.

Yeah that's alot of what I first started hearing too.

I think some of you misunderstood me though. I know the good (and bad) about our cars. I was just wondering if any of you have had people not giving the 94-95 any respect.

The 96-98 GT's are the ones I hear talked about like dogs. Hell most of the idiots I talk too don't know **** about Mustangs. I'll tell them it's a 94 and the next thing out of their mouth is oh it's got the 4.6

Yea, same here, besides my hardcore car friends I usually hang out with. The average ricer on the street doesn't know that a '94-'95 has the 5.0 in it. Most of the time though on the road I get compliments on how nice my car sounds but sometimes I'll get an ******* saying something to me. LIke this one time in rush hour traffic. I was coming off the interstate onto another congested highway and I was trying to merge in before I got back onto the onramp, so I sped up a little infront of this guy to get over. It was nothing major, I didn't cut him off or anything. So at the red light he says something like "you'd think with a gear like that you'd at least break the tires loose" So i was like "is that so?" so when the green light hit, I burned tire all the way to 3rd gear, lol.

most people dont know they made our body style with the 5.0's in it, i have had ricers tell me that i am a liar and that i really have a v-6! hahaha.

I think we do get a fair amount of repect though, i know i get a lot of turned heads, and i took a ricer buddy of mine for a ride once from a dead stop up to ~110mph and the whole way he was grabbing on to the seat screaming "oh god, oh god!" and afterwards he said "dam, that biitch don't play!"

Yeah the only bad I've ever heard (other than from Ford haters) was "oh, you should have bought a 5.0" Most car people think it's a 4.6. Most non-car people just think it's awsome becuase it's a black Mustang period.

But the ones who think it's a 4.6. . . when I tell them it has a 5.0, they give me that response you give someone who you know is wrong but you want to be nice. You know, that little nod of the head 'oh yeah? . . . cool. . .'

Then I go off on how I tune it myself, then they REALLY think I'm full of it, lol. Suckers!

Ive had alot of people sayin that like the body style of mine better than any of the newer mustangs and then I tell them that its got the 5.0 and they usually like it more.
