What PSI do you normally pump your tires to?

I run 275's all around, stay on topic and don't tell me they are too big
I had my oil changed at a Mobil 1 station, I was low on time and way overdue. The guy was putting air in a tire. I thought well maybe it was a little low. By the third tire I stopped him and said what cha doin bro. He was putting 50psi in all my tires because that's what it said on the sidewall. I discussed it with him, then another guy that came over and got no where. So after it was done, I drove around the corner, where they could still see me, and let the air out back down to 32psi.
Moral of the story = do everything yourself. always.

Never ever ever go back to that station, reading the tire sidewall for inflation numbers, thats crazy, good thing you noticed, you could have had some serious traction issues with the tire pressure so high, besides the fact you would be wearing out the center of the tire tread.

So, even if you're running like a 285/35/18 rear and a 265/35/18 in the front you still run recommended tire pressure on the inside of the car door of 30-35 psi??

I do whatever the tire says.. which is usually between 30 and 35.

generally what i suggest for tire pressure is to start at the recommended psi on the doorjam, or glove box, whereever it is on your particular application. then adjust accordingly. if you are noticing wear in teh center, drop it down 2 pounds, if they are wearing on the ousides, increase 2 pounds. you can fine adjust from there. also remember that tires filled with air generally lose 1-2psi a month, so stay on top of the readings. using bolt in valve stems will eliminate some of the normal leakage, also using a bead sealer on the rim will help reduce the normal leakage.

according to a book i have from michelin on the car and feeding of their track tires, it is more important to adjust camber and toe on the track before you adjust tire pressure. they also dont recommend making more than 1 adjustment at a time to see how that affects the vehicle.

o and dont use whats on the sidewall of the tire. all that tells you is the maximum psi you can safely inflate the tire to.

I am running 32 all the way around right now. I just bought me a dial gauge from Sears that ran me like $7. I was going to buy a digital craftsmen w/ LED and target PSI for front and rear, but it didn't have a pressure release button. I chose pressure release button over the other.
