What rim is on the back of this '65

Hey guys... this is my first post here. I've a '65 A Code Coupe I bought last week. Here's some pics... all origional... I even have the origional invoice from the purchaser I bought it from.

What is that rim on the back of this other '65 they have for sale?

that is granada wheel, usually found on the upscale granada's like the ESS model and the mercury monarch

looks very similar to some late 70's ford intermediate wheels, granada's etc.

Where would a guy get a set of those? Is there a used rim warehouse or something?

Go through your local wrecking yards, they might have some lying around.

That looks freakin classy baby. I've found which rims I'm gonna get and put on my '65... they look nice. Everyone's got bullets.... dime a dozen...

Those are sharp.

Off a Ford granada or mercury monarch between 75-79....you guys were right.

They were for some aftermarket headrests that the owner put in. I have the headrests. I'm pretty sure it was just rigged and I don't think ford sold them it.

I'll have to get those off..

This interior with vintage burgundy car.... it'll be schweet. And those rims... It'll be a chick (better be my wife) magnet!! heh..

thanks! Yeah like I had posted before. I bought it last week from the origional owner. She and her husband purchased it in '65. Gave me the origional invoice and owners manual.

It's pretty sweet. The interior is all origional except for the carpet. Though... it's plain jane vinyl white. The stockest stock you can get. so I do think I'll update the interior a bit with the pony... and probably paint the doors vintage burgundy to match the outside.

I'm pretty stoked. An all origional A code car... engine was just overhauled 1000 miles ago.. and that was in 1997!!! It's pretty much been parked since then. Runs well.. needs shocks and a brake adjustment though.. I'll do that next paycheck.

gonna wash/polish/wax this weekend.

140k original miles...

My neighbour just got a '65 parts car with those as well. He was surprised when I told him they were dealer option headrests.

Wow... I thought they were just some joeschmo ruined my seats headrests... who'd a known they had a ford part number.

I don't think that the headrest is for the set... but it fits perfectly so I thin it maybe. I don't know... it's ugly as sin I'll say that much.

Those are definitely the Ford "Rotunda" (replaced by "Autolite" and later "Motorcraft") brackets. The style of the actual upholstered pad probably changed throughout the years. I've never seen anything as ugly as those ones before.

Maybe you could get an upholsterer to take your apart and make 'em look like the pic KK posted?

BTW, my '65 coupe is an A-code as well, but no where in as nice of shape as yours.

My wife used to baby sit a girl from church and she called me "Larry Boy". This game from their website is pretty fun.
