I am seriously considering this instead of rebuilding my steel one but I need to know how many RPM's this D/S is balanced to as I want to be able to turn clost to 4k RPM's at the D/S normal driving with no vibration.

Thanks,
Chris

124 mph with 4:10's!!!

That's 6900 d/s RPM!!!!

124 is what the speedo said how far off it is, is another question. I do have the speedo gear installed to correct the difference for 4.10's. Thats why I say just get the FMS D/S. I went through all the BS trying not to buy one and to have the original rebalanced(it threw a weight) and to have new uni's put in it, it would have been twice as expensive than getting the FMS D/S at the time. I know it has gone up in price since then but IMO still worth it.

Yeah... I am really really leaning towards getting it. But I gotta mention it to the wife first as it is not worth it otherwise... I'll try a few things first but it really sounds like your car did exactly what mine is doing...

I just found out the FMS driveshaft is balanced at 3200 RPM (driveshaft RPM's).

I also remember that I believe most tires are balanced at 80 mph and they stay true much higher than that.

Just as a point of reference.

I got the FMS D/S last year and it sure smoothed things out. Sure looks pretty when the car is on a lift. :)

I've not heard of any problems with the FMS D/S in its operation. Sure, some people have an issue with other parts rubbing on it, but never heard of specific problems related directly to the D/S.
