I have a stock motor right now, but I plan on buying a H/C/I combo this summer. I wanted to go ahead and get the supporting peices first. Should I get a MAF...if so what size? Or should I get a 70 or 75mm TB? I would like to run whatever I get on my car till I get the H/C/I.

Thanks

I can tell you that the TB is one heck of a fun mod! It doesn't really give you much more power if your mostly stock, but it brings the power to front of the throttle! Breath on that gas pedal and it's like you stomped on it! I'd suggest Accufab for the brand to get, I had the BBK and it made this really annoying whistle... yuck, so I changed to an Accufab 70mm and it's great. As for selecting size, I suggest the 70mm because that's the basic aftermarket intake size (no grinding to match). For more info check this link: http://www.accufabracing.com/technical_faq.htm

I would go with a C&L 76mm mass air meter. The problem with the throttle body us that it'll be a pain to open up the intake manifold opening so it fits. When you do get a throttle bosy I would get a 70mm. It should fit your intake perfectly then. By the way I was thinking about going with mach 1 wheels how do you like them?

I do like the C&L 76mm MAF, I have both that and the Granatelli 75mm. The Granatelli gives a little smoother low end but the C&L kicks serious but top end!

The install for the TB isn't that bad. Just mark the material that needs to go, stuff a rag down the intake and dremmel away. Vaccuum out all the shavings, remove the rag and finish your install.

I like the Mach1 wheels. I got them cheap, but I thought they might not look to good, but after they were installed I was impressed. I'll see if I can find that link that I posted the pics in. :nice:
