i have a chip on the way, i bought it used mainly for the use of recalibrating my gears and firming my autos shifts. i know the chip is also capeable of bumping the timing but is this something i should really bother with? im a post highschool graduate, at an hourly job not makin a huge amount of money so paying premium gas prices leaves me kinda iffy. should i just suck it up, later get a reburned if/when i make more money, or buy a used timing adjuster and change the timing as needed

You will get 5-10 hp gain with the timing advance. It that worth it to you? You can pay extra for a duel programmed chip with a toggle switch so you can change between 87 octane and 92 octane. This wil run about $100 more.

Or, buy an SCT Programmer for $425 and you can make changes whenever you want on your own. plus if you have futur mods, you can send it back to SCT for a different program and then reload to your car.
