If it's a 17x9 I'd go with 245's. I've got 235's right now and they're just not wide enough for me.

Thanks for all the help, the stereo is pretty damn big but i bought it in the car so I couldnt complain. As for the suspension its bone stock so im thinking the rear springs just might be a little tired because my old 89 did a little but it also has 160K on it not 50K. The thing that concerned me was it has 9 inch wide wheels up front and spacers im guessing to keep the wheel away from the strut so i dont want it to hit the fender but your right the only way to find out is to try it. Thanks again for all the help!

The rims I'm running up front for now are 9" and at full crank the rim rubs the a-arm (stock). This is on an 89, I think if I stuck a spacer on mine I'd have tire rub issues (with 245s) have just been planning on buying a pair of 8" for the front when I get new tires.

Ive got the 17x9 saleen wheels up front on mine with 245s with a small spacer and they dont rub. I just messed with it to see why the spacer was on there because im picky and think it looks wierd and the tire and wheel were close to the strut but the cap on my wheel bearing poped the center cap off my wheel so im guessing thats why they were on there. Stins because they stick out too far for me to want to lower it.
