I think i want to run MT ET Streets 275/60 15 OR 275/50 15.

From what I understand a Prostar 15X8s would be too small, 15X9 should work but I don't see a lot of people running this size.

Also, what backspace on a stock suspension setup (92 coupe, no quad-shocks)?

The car currently has Nitto NT555 285/35 18s (out back, of course. 255s up front) which rub a little (the rubbing may be more due to the blown shocks or deteriorated spring isolators).

15x10 with a 6.5 backspace

Thanks! What are your thoughts on the ET Streets?

I know a taller tire should hook better but with the width being the same (275) the 50 series will put more rubber on the ground, right? I'm also not sure if the 60 series would be too tall (I know this depends on suspension, springs, etc but let's assume stock ride height, although it will probably be an inch lower when all's said and done).

To give you an idea of where I'm heading with the car... It's a "new to me" 92 coupe 4cyl converted to a 4.6 2v. With a vortech air-to-air running ~9psi. Car is putting down around 400whp. Has a stock T3650 with a stock 8.8 w/ 373 gears.

Car has H&R springs but otherwise stock suspension, down to the shocks/struts. I plan to do Upper and lower control arms, rear shocks and the Prostars next. Then comes the clutch (currently slipping bad on the dyno) and a retune (car is running a little lean for my taste).

So my goal for the wheel/tire setup is to be able to launch w/ this power and get some decent 60ft times.

(sorry for the book)
