I have a set of weld draglites 15x8 5.5 bs. What is the biggest slick i can run on these without having to beat the hell outta my fenders. Also, if I were to run a bias ply w/ tube, would i need to drill the wheels?

275/50-15 is pretty much fool proof, and has the advantage of being the stock diameter (26"). A 275/60-15 is 28", and some guys have rubbing, some don't. GT moldings have less clearance than LX cars.

i would run a 26 X 10 1/2" et street , or et street radial.
no need for wider... full slick you only need a 26 X 8 but i'd use a 26 X 10 for the look
yes you need to drill the wheel for the tubes, so once you tube... you forever tube. but they last a long time neways. DONT use the "economy" tubes.. use the mickey thompson ones, the eco's will rub a hole in them for no apparent reason and you'll be stuck with a flat

the screws are meant to keep the slick from spinning on the wheel but isnt 100% needed. Tubes arent absolutely needed either. many guys just run the slick, many just run the slick with screws, some run tubes and slicks, you get the idea. its a matter of preference really and power level.
if you go with the tubes, make sure you rub them down with baby powder before putting them on (They tend to bind up and then tear if not) and rub the slicks down with DAWN before mounting them.

Thanks for the tips. I am gonna go with 26x10 w/ MT tubes, and drill the wheels. Any more cool tips like the baby powder one?
are you going with slicks or radials?
slicks (you'd probably go with et streets) are difficult to balance if you run tubes, as they tend to reposition themselves. Thats why a lot of guys go without the tubes and avoid being unbalanced and avoid pinched tubes, especially if you plan to see any street time with them. Also remember that you wont be able to take very aggressive, sharp, fast turns with slicks (not a problem with radials) as you'll run the risk of sliding them off the wheel or pinching the tubes. You also may have to drill out the valve stem hole to fit the valve stem through depending on wheel choice. You can mount slicks yourself at home (sidewall is pretty flexible) but you obviously will have to have radials mounted.

I was going to go with et drags. I have other wheels to drive to the track with, then change them when i get there. The turning isn't really much of an issue since they will be for track only use.
