I recently got a 1990 Notch from my grandfather w/ some nasty 14" 4cy wheels/tires on it. I scored a nice set of the 16" 5 Star Pony wheels w/ BFG 205/50/16 tires for only $335 of local Craigslist. The tires are a little on the small side but ok for now and like new condition. I'd like to go bigger at some point. I'm trying to see or determine what size anyone is running w/ these wheels and if there are any pics of them if possible. I read that new I think the Stangs came w/ a 225/55/16's on this wheels. I'm thinking something a bit bigger may give a more musclar look. So ,what size r u running w/ your Pony wheels? Thanks in advance.

Depends on if you have lowered springs. I run 245/50/16 on the rear and 225/50/16 on the front of my lx vert with lowered springs and and 245/50/16 all the way around with stock springs on my gt vert.

It has stock springs whatever a 1990 notch 4cy comes with. I'm not planning on lower it at this point. Got any pic's?

I concur with this. Although anything before 1987 you might have slight rubbing issues.

I run 225/50-16 up front and 255/50-16 in the rear with no rubbing issues. The car has been lowered about 1 1/2 all around.

my setup-245.50.16 all around w/ nitto drag radials in rear-even a mild 5.0 will benefit from these and they are surprisingly stable in rainy conditions-better than my old bfg gforce tires-but you might want to run 225s or your 205s in front as the front tires stick out a little further than the backs w/ 245 all around
