Hey guys, you guys have advice and opinions on what springs have the softest ride. My 92 Notch is lowered pretty good when I god it but its so rough! Im expected to have a baby in Aug. and what to have a nice comfertable drive. I dont care about it being lowered or and stock level at all, just COMFORTABLE! hit me with you thoughts guys PLEASE!! Thanks!

I put Eibach Pro kit on mine, I loved the stance and didnt notice ride quality suffer, handling was a little tighter but the ride was nice. Ran 17x9, 245 fronts and 275 rears.

175# coilovers in the front and eibach drag kit in the rear is what is on my car and i think the ride is pretty smooth, and my car is pretty lowww

FWIW im putting 150# in the front and some cut stockers in the rear this coming spring

That's very simple!
Get the 400lbs/in 4cylinder springs. They are also what is now sold at the parts store.

But, be WARNED, the springs are taller (because of their lower rate). So, they will be a bigger pain to install. Good luck trying to install those tall springs unless you drop the FCA and/or use the OTC tool.

Then, add good struts/shocks! IMHO, forget the KYB junk. For the money, get the Tokico 5-way adjustable struts, and set them on a soft setting.

The problem with the 4cyl springs in a GT is that the car will be lowered, and the spring rate will not be higher (as it should be). Your best bet to prevent bottoming out the suspension by accident would be to also put in the Steeda 1/4" springs spacers (like I have). They will raise the fender height by ~0.4". You can buy them by calling Steeda directly and asking. They don't have the listed separately in their catalog or web page.

Or, someone may have a set they are not using, since they come with the Steeda X2 ball joints. And, many people just use the ball joints to help with their bumpsteer. So, you may want to post a WTB in the classifieds.

You can see the Steeda spacer on top of the isolator, along with OTC tool and it's use in the following web page:

Good Luck!

For the best of both worlds. "comfort and handling" I really like the Saleen Racecraft springs and the Eibach Pro kit.

I have the Pro kit on my SSC and the Racecrafts on my '87 vert. "don't ask" LOL

Both my cars ride nice but handle exceptionally well on the occasional track day.

cool is not comfortable

Meh, I'm cool, and I'm perfectly comfortable....

What about FRPP B springs? Offers the same spring rates as stockers, but also gives a little lower stance. I wish I could tell you how they rode, but I haven't installed them yet.

You'll like them. I had them on my '87vert that I recently sold. They offered a slightly harsher ride than the Racecrafts and Eibachs but not bad at all.

I really liked the stance of the car with the B springs. It was slightly lower and sat perfect. I'd like to buy some and put them on my '88 vert.

Maybe I will in the future.

I had the c springs on my car previously. It sat great and looked great, but the amount of strut travel was so short I routinely bottomed out the front struts.

I went to the Mach springs, which have virtually the same front spring rate ( 600 vs 650 linear) and the ride improved simply because I had more strut travel and didn't bottom out anymore.

Of course, a stronger strut would have helped too. I have tokico blues and they just aren't strong enough. Going to swap to an adjustable strut to dial in the ride shortly.

Not a caddy-like ride...but much improved.
