what tires for 18x9's on a fox?

I did a search and couldn't find it so I appologize if this has been asked already.

I'm looking at some 18x9's and was wondering what tires I should run front and back and how much lower than stock can I go for springs? I haven't started my 5 lug swap yet, I know I'll need sn95 spindles and I'm gonna build a strong 8.8.

Tires - 235/40ZR18 front, 255/40ZR18 back. Springs you should be able to get away with a slight drop, but I don't know how much exactly.

Budget way to do it? Pair of (I think) driver's side Ranger axles or passenger's side Aerostar axles, the drums from that vehicle, and Ford Racing's 5 lug front rotor kit. All you need.

Thats alot of tire! Expect some rubbing issue's when turning the steering wheel all the way!

I run 275/35/18 on 18x9 with 24mm offset on the rear of my '89.. flipped quads, fox length axles.. I run 8" wide on the front with a 235/40

Are you using stock springs?

I'm already planning an 8.8 build up with 31 spline axles, 410 gear and a detroit locker or something comparable.

The wheels I'm planning are only made in 18x9, would 9's work in the front?

Nope.. they are Saleen Racecraft springs (very similar to Eibach Pro-kit, if not the same) with Kenny Brown trackit brackets (lowers the control arm munting point about 1/2")

I'm running 18x9s with Nitto NT555 235/40ZR18s all around no problem (except for rubbing against the swaybar at absolute full lock). The 255 will fit out back, but I didn't get them because it was easier and cheaper to get a matched set.
